Doug Mand is an American comedian, writer/producer and podcaster. Ever since he was a child Mand had a nervous stomach often having to use the restroom at inappropriate times. These incidents have inspired his comedy and also for him to host a podcast called "Doody Calls". It features friends and celebrities detailing their own problems with bowel movements. He studied at New York University where he met his writing partner Dan Gregor. Both of them performed improv comedy at the Uptight Citizens Brigade. Alongside Gregor and Adam Pally he formed a production company called Chubby Skinny Kids. The trio began writing various television pilots some of which were based on their improv stage shows. A few of those treatments got them noticed by producers of the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother " who hired Mand and Gregor as staff writers. After that show finished more projects followed including the FX show "The Comedians ". In 2015 Mand joined Gregor on Rachel Bloom's (Dan Gregor's wife) comedy musical show "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" on The CW. He is a writer and co-executive producer and has also appeared onscreen as the character "David", Audra Levine's husband, in the Season Two episode "Will Scarsdale Like Josh's Shayna Punim?".
