Parvesh Singh Cheena is an American actor of Indian descent. He was born on July 22, 1979 in Elk Grove, Illinois and raised in Naperville which is a suburb of Chicago. He went to Waubonsie Valley High School, attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for a year and would go on to study musical theatre at the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Parvesh started out doing several television commercials before getting a part in the 2002 comedy "Barbershop". He then began doing local theater productions for a year and also appeared in the 2004 sequel "Barbershop 2: Back in Business". Parvesh moved to Los Angeles to pursue more roles in film and television. He did a number of pilots for potential shows before becoming a series regular on the 2010-2011 NBC sitcom "Outsourced" playing the role of "Gupta". Parvesh is openly gay and has been in a relationship with Eric Fuller for several years. In 2016 it was announced that Parvesh was cast in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" as Paula's new friend Sunil Odhav .
