Scott Michael Foster is an American actor. He was born on March 5, 1984 in Winfield, Illinois to Tammy and Michael C. Foster; Scott is their only son and he has two older sisters. His family moved to a suburb of Dallas, Texas called Highland Village where his interest in acting started in elementary school. After Briarhill Middle School he attended Edward S. Marcus High School where he was involved in theater until he graduated in 2003. He went on to attend Collin County Community College only to leave after one semester to pursue a professional acting career in Los Angeles. In 2005 he landed several parts in independent films leading to perhaps his best known role in 2007 as "Cappie" on the ABC Family series "Greek ". During this time Foster wrote, produced, and starred in his own web series entitled "Neighbros". He also got roles on other television shows including appearances on TNT 's "The Closer " and NBC 's Law and Order: LA ". In his spare time he plays guitar and is the lead singer of his indie rock band "Siren's Eye". In September 2016 it was announced he was cast in Season Two of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" in the role of "Nathaniel". On April 5, 2017 at the For Your Consideration Emmy event it was announced that Foster was promoted to series regular for Season Three of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
